1950 DeSoto circuit breakers

Does anyone know if there is a headlight circuit breaker for the 50 Desoto? I already had to replace the one for the wiper and backup lights since it was faulty. I'm having intermittent issues where the headlights will not turn on. The indicator in the dash and dash lights work but no headlight bulbs.

If your high beam indicator works, then I'd make sure the grounds at the headlight buckets themselves are good. Also check for voltage at the buckets on the black and red wires at the headlights, which is high and low beam voltage  from the foot dimmer switch. There should also be voltage at the H terminal (yellow wire that feeds the foot dimmer) of the headlight switch when the switch is on. Missing voltage at any of those points will tell you there is a break (broken wire, bad switch)  before that point.

There is a separate 30 amp CB for your DeSoto... usually it's mounted to a angled brace above the steering column ... or behind the instruments. There is most likely 2-3 CB"s. in that same area.

Circuit breakers usually do not fail.. just close and click open on and off when there is a short.

as mentioned check the high/ low beam switch... common cause of no headlamps at times.

If you don't drive much at night or don't use your high beams much, the switch contacts can corrode.  Cycle it A dozen times to clean the contacts. The switch terminals also live outside the car so it might be a good idea to check their respective for condition. The terminal block up front where the switch feeds split to feed the individual lights might like some maintenance also. And as mentioned good grounds at the headamp are critical.
