Grdpa's 50 Dodge Posted May 8, 2018 Report Posted May 8, 2018 I see that ad on TV all the time. Wondering if it had merit? Costs? It was basically a sand blaster that they dump 5 gallons of water in it and a certain load of glass beads (I think). I am assuming an agitator in the bin. It blasts paint primer and rust down to bare metal REALLY fast. It takes a fraction of the time the DA does with ZERO dust. Appreciate ANY feedback you can send my way!! Thanks in advance Quote
Reg Evans Posted May 8, 2018 Report Posted May 8, 2018 I wish I had one but they are spendy. Here's a small version on eBay right now. Slightly used. https://www.ebay.com/itm/DUSTLESS-BLASTER-500-PORTABLE-AROUND-300FT-HOSE-Slightly-Used/123105794671?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20160908110712%26meid%3D476be816dbfb406da8dc01506ede5748%26pid%3D100677%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D30%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D232671687256%26itm%3D123105794671&_trksid=p2385738.c100677.m4598 Quote
allbizz49 Posted May 8, 2018 Report Posted May 8, 2018 (edited) Pretty sure you use baking soda as a media for dustless blasting. Also, rust inhibitors are added to the water. It dies work but have fun getting the media out of the jambs and crevices. I do cars full on rotisserie and getting all if the media out is a pain fully disassembled.
