Bolts for floorboards

I need a batch of bolts and the spring like nuts that hold the floorboards, hood and other stuff on my B1B. I don't even know what they are called, but if I knew what to call them I'm guessing Carr McMaster would have them. Can someone educate me?

not sure of your need but by description, Zeus fastener comes to mind....

You mean dzus? No, those are quarter turn fasteners. The dodges are held by a bolt with big, wide threads sort of like sheet metal threads. Not sure I've seen them on cars.

Dzus, thanks...knew it was some kind of oooos fastener....it did show up on e-bay under Zeus might I add......lol

I think your referring to Acme thread bolts. I've been looking for a few myself to replace some that are missing but I have not found a source yet.I cant remember who it was, but a member here posted a photo of some hardware that he had just purchased and there were 3 bright and shiny new Acme thread bolts among them. If I remember right he said he got it from a Ace Hardware. Even though I had already checked, after I saw his post I checked all the local Ace stores again with no luck.

Acme bolts are nearly impossible to find. I replaced some with regular J-nuts and standard bolts.

Yep, I did as Merle did, it's much easier to buy J nuts in a easy to find standard thread and then you can replace with your choice of style

J nuts - that's what I needed to know. Found them, got a bunch ordered.
