Not just the threads. correct, the threads just provide the clamping force.....the threads only need to be as deep as they are wide for proper torque.....rule of thumb is one diameter deep in steel, two diameter deep in aluminum... 1 Quote

True but threads inside bolt head are few. Cable and washer etc, not much left. Headbolts thread in engine is also filled with sealant and crud. Electrically not a good lead. Not saying it wouldn't work but I wouldn't. Prefer use the original grounding bolt. Quote
