48oldwood Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 I found this in an old yard that I bought cars from. This one is on the crush list but I thought I better show you guys. Located in Little Rock, AR. I found this marker in the trunk. 1
Flatie46 Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Yep, good bumpers and lots of good trim. Hope someone scores some parts and they don't get crushed. I don't get it, scrap is down, are they closing the yard?

knuckleharley Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 That looks like a solid and almost complete 49 Dodge. I sure hope somebody saves it. The only thing I see missing is the rear window.
RobertKB Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 That looks like a restorable car. The back window missing would be a concern because of moisture. At the very least it would be an excellent parts car. Looks like it even has a decent cloisonne hood emblem which are very hard to find. Hope someone pays the scrap price and saves some great parts at least. You could make a lot of money parting it out or move it on as a restoration project.
48oldwood Posted May 13, 2017 Author Posted May 13, 2017 I may buy it but nothing is moving off this property till the rain stops for at least a couple of weeks with some heat to dry this marsh land up. Floor pans are holy.

rb1949 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Would be nice to find out where that marker belongs. 1958 isn't too old to check out.

Plymouthy Adams Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 there is a US made car with similar cap as shown on the Zodiac, it is a spinner cap...ws thinking it was Mopar as it stands out so familiar in my mind....here is a pic of a local ad with some caps for sale...notice anything similar....?

Plymouthy Adams Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 thanks Ed....I knew I had seen that cap on an early 60's US make, was however still associating a spinner with that style...

dale Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 (edited) Thought for a few seconds the marker said John Wesley Harden.. LOL That would be a REAL find...Be nice to have a section here where members could post local junkyard photos of cars and their locations. Edited May 14, 2017 by dale addition 1
