50SuperDeluxe
Anyone here know what to do: Drums turned. Shoes relined. Cut my own felt washers, all back together, plumbing, etc. but drums do not want to fit over the new lined shoes. I've turned it all in and still not able to put the drums on. So close..... Dodgeb4ya
Generally Shoe lining thickness should be .180" max ad per the factory spec ..otherwise standard size drums will never fit over the assembled shoes and backing plates regardless of anchor or cam position. One thing else that can cause this problem is too long of W/cylinder piston push rods or different thicker pistons not letting the shoes retract enough for the drums to fit over the shoes.
