thedahmer Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Reg, I am afraid it would be a little bit of a commute from California to Illinois especiallly from Canada but hey- it could happen, I think that is a SLICK car-- with all of that coach work---bet it is hard to find spares for!!! bob westphal Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 You buy it I deliver it for you. Abbotsford is just a short hop from me. Quote
Reg Evans Posted November 9, 2006 Author Report Posted November 9, 2006 OK Bob...Thanks.....I'll email the seller and see if He'll finance it for me. Sure hope it gets good gas mileage cause I don't have much gas money. Quote
RobertKB Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 That is one sweet ride. Hope a museum or someone who really appreciates it buys it. I would hate to see it rodded and there are people out there that would do that without blinking an eye. Quote
Normspeed Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 I hear TheDahmer is thinking about a pickup. This would look great with the back torched off and a pickup bed in there.....Sort of a Travis McGee thing. Quote
Reg Evans Posted November 9, 2006 Author Report Posted November 9, 2006 Or another option would be to graft a 46 Dodge Truck front end on it. Sorta of a reverse UTE. Quote
Young Ed Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Reg you reminded me of a street rod idea I've had for quite some time now. Mating a p15 front clip with a pickup cab. One of these days I should do the measuring and see if it would actually work out. Quote
Reg Evans Posted November 9, 2006 Author Report Posted November 9, 2006 That sounds cool Ed. I took the easy way out a while back a dropped my 42 3 window off at the Maxwell Coach Works in Santa Maria,Ca. and had them do the conversion. Turned out rather nice don't ya think. Quote
Young Ed Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 That must explain the fender dent. You couldn't see behind you with that huge camper on there Quote
Guest Nelsons Ply Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Hey Reg how do you get in to drive.might have Dave take off the post so you can open the door. Quote
Reg Evans Posted November 9, 2006 Author Report Posted November 9, 2006 Yeah, it's been kind of a hassle. I have to go in the back door and drop down in the drivers seat through a trap door in the overhead bed floor. I didn't want to complain though cause they get the job done in 1 day and the price was right. Quote
Reg Evans Posted November 9, 2006 Author Report Posted November 9, 2006 Here's another rig my older brother put together for me for a birthday present. The rotten sob. Quote
