You have to break the glass to get the head off to chrome it ! The pax side is useless as you cannot see it. Nice to look at though! James. James_Douglas Posted July 20, 2016 Author Report Share Posted July 20, 2016 I had a set of originals on my 1947 Desoto. I took them off and sold them to my buddy with a 1946 Chrysler T&C that wanted them. In the case of the 1947, there is a trim part that goes in place of the mirrors. On the '49, as far as I know, there is no trim that goes in place of the mirrors. I could have welded the holes shut, but, I did not think of it at the time. Wish I had...
