The former "Barbary Coast / International Settlement" block in SF....

Now days this street is anything but gay, mainly tech offices and fancy restaurants, and guaranteed parking tickets.

If one had an inclination to dabble in gayism, they would need to travel a few miles southwest to where that activity is now centered.

I think it was Franklin who said "Only two things in life are certain: death and Texas."

Same pic you posted 3 weeks ago.  Reminded me then of all the typical one and two bay service stations we had around when growing up.  Probably some gas pumps out front with a rack or two of quarts of oil and a bucket of water and squeegee.  Limited parts stock based on local customer's vehicle choices.

I was always a sucker for a girl wearing perfume .....or using it as a fuel.

Broads were a lot classier back in the day:

they did not cover themselves in garish ink, and drank their PBR on the street from a glass, like a lady 🇺🇸

too bad this is slightly out of focus. I'm curious to know what type of car that is in the background. Looks like a FIAT or Autobianchi, which would be very rare for this scene in America.

Also....cankles.

Is the photo out of focus, or is the view "as seen" by the day drinking subject ?

You reminded me of a comment by Jay Leno, 'its better to have grease on your shirt than lipstick on your collar'

while the Chrysler Turbine body was sourced from Italy, the Plymouth Turbo Fury made use of the then-new Valiant that was tested with a turbine powertrain but ultimately did not go into production.
