1940 Plymouth Road King Coupe

So, I recently inherited my Dad's 1940 Plymouth. I recall working on it back in the late 70's when he first purchased it.

I feel completely stupid for asking this question but, the manual does not have the answer.

Does anyone know where the battery is , or should be. I'm not sure if I'm looking in all the wrong places

or if it was removed at some point. No box anywhere that I can see.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
