Anyone have a vendor for the rear vent window glass weatherstrip on the '47 d-24 town sedan?  I haven't been able to locate any, and have some homemade ones on the car now.

I've tried Roberts and Steele, haven't checked w/ Neil riddle yet.  I'm pretty sure it is a different size from front to rear vent windows.  I'll have to look again though.

Didn't really think of that.

I DO NOT THINK IT WILL.....the glass is a bit different shape...MY CONFUSION WAS my 41 Town Sedan came here with 4 identical vent windows..they were off the car as the garnish had been removed inside thus my assumption...looking closer at my 47 Town Sedan there are two different shaped glasses front and rear..the front seals are in the break down the rears are not shown on the picture page of the rear view of the town sedan...but in the parts book it is like this ...all D24 fronts with the exception of the  convertible  are identical with left being 977233 and right is 977232   the left rear TS is 977235 and the right rear is 977234...however, finding these may be a bit of a problem if yours are serviceable, you may want to contract these to be formed...

Still searching for a usable vent weatherstrip.  I have a universal on it now, but after looking at several different models, my question is on 1950 Dodge models what are the measurements of the rear vent window on the 4 door models.

Anybody got any info on that, or have a car you could measure for me?

I did check and the front vent glass is wider at the bottom than the rear vent glass.  I'm also pretty sure the glass is the same size at the Chrysler town and country's, but no luck finding a source for that either.

Can someone measure the rear door vent window dimensions?

I'm trying to figure out new seals for the rear vent window on my 47 town sedan. Nobody knows what will work, and there aren't any vendors that offer them. So I'm trying to get something that may work, or be close.

Hate to order something and have to send it back. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

check the part for 47 Packard Clipper 4 dr sedan.  Looks like a very similar window design.  Steele rubber has them listed for (ahem) 175 per pair.  which is by the way less than those listed for Dodge Plymouth.

Do you want the actual measurement of the three sides of the vent 's glass or the perimeter? My car is in the garage now and I can take the measurement of the passenger side rear door vent for you.

Hey Frank measurement of three sides would be great. Thanks.

I'll check that Greg, thanks for the help.

Measurements on mine are 10 1/4 in at bottom width and 10 1/4 height.

Are you sure they aren't the same as the front only reversed? Seems that would be a smart parted bin adaptation.

All measurements are from inside edge of window trim to the opposite edge:

vertical face at division bar = 11 1/16"

bottom edge = 10 11/16"

radius edge (opposite from vertical face) = 16 7/16"

I hope this gives you what you're looking for.

Greg the fronts are wider than the rears. I looked at my Plymouth and the fronts on the p-15 are actually smaller than the rears on the dodge.
