My New Snow Plow

Hey all, got real sick and tired of a walk behind blower, a shovel, and 10 years of winters, some years did not even require much snow blower use, but that is rare.

Here is my new snow plow, 2013 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO, with winch and plow.

The price was real sweet, full warranty, and how can you go wrong. This unit works real slick, I have played with it for a few hours.....

The only problem with pushing snow is eventually you will run out of room if you get several snow storms in a row.

The only problem with pushing snow is eventually you will run out of room if you get several snow storms in a row.

Not in my case, as I can move snow out at least  50 ft each way along drive, and push snow way into the yard. I have a lot of room. In those cases where you can't push snow out and wide, you will get narrower after each snow storm. A lot of people use the very same thing I have around here. Normally we don't get this much snow up here, nothing like some mountain areas, or parts of the Northeast..

This new toy came in real handy today, pushed 2-3 foot piles of dry snow like nothing. We have more snow than any other year since i have lived here... I am impressed with a plow blade and 4 whl drive atv, a very useful tool.....

Could've used that around these parts recently. Three storms in the past two weeks, leaving 30" on the ground. Most round these parts for a long time. Thankfully I bought a 12hp husqvarna this fall and it throws snow into the next town!
