Dodgeb4ya Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 When you have the OE part # the quickest way to go is to type it into Google or Ebay. So your needed input shaft part # 957859 which brought up......http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nos-Mopar-1941-54-transmission-main-pinion-shaft-/310706882299 This one was on ebay for $74.00. Len Dawson (aka Deception Pass Motor parts) has one too plus I located a couple more NOS ones. Note If you do use Collectors Auto Supply you will usually be paying EXTRA for them to buy a part off ebay or from Len Dawson or Frank Mitchell ect. Quote
Jalopypilot Posted January 16, 2014 Author Report Posted January 16, 2014 Hi , have checked out one on Ebay...it doesn't fit my 1949 dodge fluid drive , I sent a question to the seller. Will try the other leads you gave me ... cheers Rob Quote
Desotodav Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 (edited) Welcome to the forum Rob. I didn't realize that you were here in Oz. Have you tried Jim Robinson (Melbourne) or Les Sonter (Newcastle)? They would be you best bet here.... Edited January 16, 2014 by Desotodav Quote

austinsailor Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 I have an NOS long shaft but I won't be back until the first week of Feb. and won't know until I get back what it is for. If you haven't found one by then let me know and I'll figure out what mine is. I'm pretty sure it had part numbers on it so it won't be hard to tell. Gene Quote

Desotodav Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 I forgot to tell you Rob, if you strike out with Jim or Les here in Oz then try John Biddle from Antique Motor Spares in Wingfield SA (08)8268 5540. He reckons that he's too old to learn the internet thing (so you have to ring him). I have found him very knowledgeable, most helpful, and very reasonable price-wise. Quote
