tom'sB2B
What are the differences between 3speed bell house and clutch assemblies between half ton truck and car? Or are they the same? It will be attached to a 218. Are the trans mounting holes the same?
HanksB3B
Tom, I'm not sure wish I could help other than letting you know a "search" would probably be helpful until some guys answer your question. Good Luck, Hank
Solution Young Ed Posted May 7, 2013 Solution Report Share Posted May 7, 2013 The clutches are possibly similar although a car may have a smaller diameter setup. The bellhousings are the same pattern to bolt to the flathead and completely different after that. The truck bellhousing is much bigger and also contains the pedal setup. 1952B3b23
My '52 B3b had a Plymouth car motor in it (I believe its a '53) mated up to the original 3 speed tranny that came with the truck. -Chris

Its a common thing to find. The trucks were worked hard so the engines tended to get replaced.
