billwillard Posted May 21, 2007 Report Share Posted May 21, 2007 I know Iam on the wrong site but a lot of you guys are like me and drive more then one brand car. PLEASE HELP I can't get my shifting linkage right on my 54 stude champ. I can't go from 1st to 2nd with out playing with neutral. The same thing happens when I try to gome back up from 2nd or 3rd to 1st. I have lined the shift leavers up with each other but can't seem to find the right slot. 62rebelP23 Posted June 8, 2007 Report Share Posted June 8, 2007 are you sure your synchros are in good shape? if the alignment slots in the levers are lined up, and the levers are correct at the trans, it sounds like an internal problem. hope you can get some more help.
