I think I would be living in that booth ... that thing is awesome. I would imagine people will come from miles around, pay for the privilege just to put their vehicle inside the booth.
ggdad1951 Posted December 15, 2025 Author Posted December 15, 2025 Stopped out at @Danm Straight Customs (my painter guy) and cheked out stuff. Ready for color! So we poked at colors. I like the polished inner door panel color. Tried to match a standard color....closest we got. And the potential grey for the wheels and hood tip frame. Meanwhile digging up old reciepes from my files to see who they look once he programs them up. 5
Plymouthy Adams Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 choosing a color can be time consuming and drive you nuts....the bigger the vehicle...the more you have to consider. What cut lines do you have naturally, any trim to break up the panels...will I need a highlight color if not a two tone finish. Lots of luck. I went with a green I blended myself from fleet colors....while not two tone, I will have a secondary color for highlights. What often helps me is a drawing and colored pencils......
Dave72dt Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 My only suggestion is to look at the colors outside. Interior lighting distorts the colors from what they look like in natural light.
Plymouthy Adams Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 that is true David...my green picks up a softer creamier look in natural light.
Los_Control Posted December 29, 2025 Posted December 29, 2025 Dang Dude! Little more work, you can burn some beef while putting down miles 🤩
ggdad1951 Posted January 3 Author Posted January 3 Stuff back home....time to do final prep on the frame and rebuild an engine. 2
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I thought dun was more of a lighter color....😄 it is exciting to hit this stage of a project.....looking good. The light at the end of the tunnel.
bkahler Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Beautiful looking parts! Just don't do what I did. I had all the parts painted and then moved them all from Nebraska to Texas, from Texas to Arkansas and finally from Arkansas to Kentucky. Kinda hard to keep from scratching them
