desoto1939 Posted February 5, 2013 Report Share Posted February 5, 2013 (edited) I just checked my 1939 Desoto PArts book and under the heaters this is what I found Standard Airstream Heater model 28 830128 DeLuxe Airstream Heater Model 26 830126 Duo-airstream Model 22 680722 Tri-airstream Model 21 680721 Tri-airstream Model 24 680762 Super-airstream Model 23 680723 Notice how the last two digits in the part number are the same as the model number except for the Model 24 unless there isa misprint in my parts book. Kind of neat way to remember the model number by the part number. Maybe some brilliant thinking back then or just dumb luck on someones part.
