The trucks as far as I've ever seen never had them. No literature shows them as available either. The doors are stamped with a raised area around the handles which would require a extra special stamping for the door guards. The 1949-54 car line Mopar door guards are only curved to fit the smooth contour of the doors and will fit all Chrysler, DeSoto, Dodge and Plymouth models because of this simple stamping. Thats my guess!

I think Reg has a set of these on one of his trucks.

You are right Jim. I think the box they were in said 49-52 Dodge and Plymouth. They fit almost like they were made for it .....but they weren't.

The MoPar door guards really don't fit Regs door too bad! ;) The handle base doesn't crush down the guard and distort it like I thought it would. I do like those MoPar 1949-52 door handle guards and have them on a couple of my 1951 and 52 Plymouth cars myself.

Are these door guards only listed for 49-52 cars or were they listed for other years also?
