oldodge41
We took advantage of the nice weather and drove to Bellefonte for a picnic in Tallyrand Park today. Stopped at Black Moshannon State Park for a couple pictures: Then on to Bellefonte and a couple more pics: Just under 100 miles round trip all secondary country roads and averaged 16.8 mpg. Better than I expected considering all the hills and some idling.
1940plymouth
Glad you had the Dodge out and about today. It has been a beautiful day up here also, but the pictures I took aren't as good as yours
Robert Horne
About 75 degree here in southwest Virginia today. The wife and I put about 40 miles on the 38 Coupe today. We forgot the camera........
Greenbomb
What a beautiful day! Looks like the colors are about gone same as here. Take advantage of whatever is left before winter!
greg g
do you know where the Plymouth dealer might have been located in Bellefonte in the 40's? Apparently the 1st owner of my car (who lived in Lamar) got the car there in December of 46. Your car looks at home with all the brick bldgs. oldodge41
Not sure Greg. I work with a lot of people from that area so I will ask around. The Centre County Historical Society may be able to answer that question too.

BobT-47P15
Greg, I found, at our local public library, a city directory for 1947 and in it was an ad for the Plymouth dealer at that time. You might check from that angle. Or, perhaps a microfilm of a newspaper from the time. (The son of one co-owner of that dealership is in our Sunday School class. I've asked if he has any memorabilia from the dealership, and he says he doesn't. Guess it just didn't interest him at the time.)
