austinsailor Posted October 14, 2012 Report Posted October 14, 2012 Rock auto has floor pans and rocker panels for my '53 Plymouth listed. Prices are about the same as classicparts4u on Ebay. Several people have said that the parts from classicparts4u are not the best. Anyone have any experience with the Rock Auto body panels? Quote
oldmopar Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 I have not used the rockauto body parts but check the shipping I look at them a while back and the shipping was $$$ Quote
falconvan Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 I bought a set of rocker panels for my 51 from them. One side was pretty good; the other side did not line up as well as I would have liked. But with limited options to go elsewhwere for panels, I was able to make them work. The price was good; only $20 a piece. Quote
gwaggonercpa Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 C2C supplies Rockauto body parts. The rockers I ordered for my 55 Plymouth were drop shipped from C2C; were ill fitting and of 22 gauge steel. When I called C2C and pointed out their web site states the rockers are 18 gauge, I was told that was an error and that they would correct it. Still haven't, two years later. Gary Quote
rtlsnakedaddy Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 Interesting to hear. I am getting ready to order new rockers and drivers floor, and was planning on ordering from RA. Not good to hear they are thin. Are there other suppliers out there? RSD Quote
gwaggonercpa Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 I should be fair and mention I ordered a floor pan as well, and it was 18 gauge as advertised. I don't know whether it fit--I never tried it. Quote
