claybill Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 i have lots of parts in my garage..stuff i took off years ago, & not using. I was on my way to the salvage with the heavy stuff, as metal is up now.! (old motors, bell housings and flywheels) but i found lots of nice items. a couple trans, 2 intakes,3 ex. manifolds, carburetors, spotlite stuff, fender panels, hoods, doors, trunklid, fans, steering wheels, head gaskets, oil filters, oil bath a/c. other stuff for dash, a few rims. etc etc..1941-47. varied items, much to list separately in 'parts'...I was wondering if anyone else had a stash of old parts on their shelves.? we could have a forum swap-o-rama.! bill Quote

40P10touring sedan Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 If your selling anything, I could use; - a pair of the bulb sockets with pigtail for the speedo back lighting - an air cleaner assembly to gut to use a paper element in - 40 plymouth radio delete plate to put switches and turn signal indicators in - pair of defroster ducts - a 230 motor{23"} Quote
Uncle-Pekka Posted April 14, 2012 Report Posted April 14, 2012 I totally understand the problems with storage space, but the idea of melting 60+ years of quality parts does not seem right to me. If I would be closer, I would definitely buy some of your stuff... Hope the forum members closer can save the stuff with you. What about commercial players such as "the old mopar cafe"? They do push a good deal of second hand parts - would they pay better price than metal salvage companies? At least the parts would live on to benefit cars on the road some day... Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 Neil Riddle, a purveyor of mainly n o s parts......usually has things on ebay. Uses the old mopar cafe theme he invented. Quote
RobertKB Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 Actually Old Plym Cafe. Neil Riddle is very helpful either through email or on the phone. A highly recommended vendor. If you don't see what you want in his ebay store, just contact him to find out if he has what you need. His response time is usually very quick. http://stores.ebay.com/The-Old-Plym-Cafe Quote
Robert Smith Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 (edited) Hey, I'm not sure if you have these but, I noticed there's no cover on the fly wheel to my clutch on the '40 Dodge... a '41 would be the same I'm sure. Also, I'm needing some dash knobs for the '40 Dodge if you have them... '41 would be nearly identical or, '41 Plymouth would be the same. I also need the bracket that holds the oil filter and the oil filter canister too! The bracket arm that stabilizes the oil bath is missing too. So, let me know what motor compartment parts you have that'll work. Take a look at the photos in my thread 1940 Dodge d14... you'd see what I'm missing. :-) I'm needing the center chrome strip for the windshield so I can re-attach the stainless around the windshield... Also the grab straps for the back seat area and the blanket rope and rope hardware. And maybe a pair of sun visors. Let me know what you have that could cross over to '40 Dodge town! :-) Thanks!
