knuckleharley
Guys,I was in Minot,ND last week, and there is a old time junkyard there that is crushing out cars and trucks, and a lot of them go back to the 30's and 40's. Saw at least one 59 Plymouth there with the od trans,a 53 Plymouth 2dr stationwagon, and a bunch of 40 and 41 Chevy 2drs,a couple of 57 Ford ranchwagons, and even a 51 Merc 4dr. Every damn one of them has a fairly solid to a VERY solid body. Most just have a little surface rust. The 51 Merc looks to be complete with original paint and no visable rust. Another junk yard guy in the area bought up most (all?) of the solid trucks and has several 37 or 38 Dodge trucks that are restorable. Big trucks. Sorry,I got the name and phone number, but lost them. Minot isn't that big,so you can probably do a yellow page search for auto parts and find it that way. JoelOkie
I'd like to have the brake setup from the backing plates out off that 59 Plymouth, but it's too far to go to get it from here.
Oberstar
Man, I was stationed at Minot in the early 90's. That place sure will make a man out of ya quick:eek:. I once was bowhunting in -80 degree temps(with windchill)...
