Sigtyr01 Posted July 3, 2011 Report Share Posted July 3, 2011 With some help from my sons we finally fitted the lower kit I bought from http://www.butchscoolstuff.com/ No real issues except the the blocks was a bit to wide towards the springs casuing the u-bolts not to be completley verical - the angel grinder fixed that How it drives .. don't know but my son with the driver license said the cars was more stable in the rear end .. Cpt.Fred Posted August 9, 2011 Report Share Posted August 9, 2011 do that... i even have problems when i try to make room for another vehicle on narrow country roads that fall off at the sides. once the rear tire leaves the asphalt, the bolts hit the ground. ugly... i just talked to a leaf spring shop this morning and have a date with them tomorrow around noon. let's see what they tell me. Adam H P15 D30 Posted August 9, 2011 Report Share Posted August 9, 2011 Posie makes a rear spring that will lower it 2" or so. It's a Superslide so it might ride better also. Cpt.Fred Posted August 17, 2011 Report Share Posted August 17, 2011 i talked to the guys at the leaf spring shop and i will send them mine as soon as the season is over. they say they take them apart, magna flux them for cracks and other damage, bend them to the desired drop, then shorten the main leafs and roll new eyes for the bushings. afterwards they'll insert an extra layer to make them about 10% stronger, so i don't hit the frame all the time. they charge around 300 EUR for the whole thing, afterwards they're practically new and i can throw the blocks out. i hope it works...
