RobertKB Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 (edited) I never have but this thread was on just a few days ago. Especially read the last post in the thread. Good luck! http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=27822&highlight=stent Edited June 22, 2011 by RobertKB Quote

greg g Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 Plumbing work of that type is pretty routine these days. My last one was don at 10 AM on a friday, and I attended a Basketball Game at noon on saturday. Had a good practitioner though. Best wishes. Quote
randroid Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 Harvey, The mention of diet and exercise is a point to be taken very seriously. Read (google) about Ornish and how he came up with his diet; it's a proven positive. I've not had a stent around my heart but I've had five surgeries on the arteries in my legs, one of which was a stent, and they can get to aching something fierce but there was never any severe pain. -Randy Quote
Mark D Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 My dads had 8 of them installed over the last 12 years, (heart desease runs in the family), and a quintuple bypass 20 years ago. Stints are small miracles without which he would certainly not be with us today. Modern medicine is wondrous. Quote
PatS.... Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 My mother had one put in about 12 yrs ago. She found out about a serious complication with mesh stents and that is blood clots. Be informed and ask questions. Good luck on the procedure Harvey. Quote

JerseyHarold Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 Good luck on your procedure. I had one installed last Friday (for a total of 4), and was back at work yesterday. The hard part, at least for me, is eating healthily and getting enough exercise. Harold Quote
