My Father will be 85 in Dec, he is suffering from the later stages of Alzhiemers, but is otherwise very healthy. Today was my day to have him, so I called my good friend Tom who just finished his '39 a few months ago, Tom came up and we took Dad for a ride, he was tickled that we would do that for him.

I know this has nothing to do with Plymouths, Dodges, DeSotos or Chryslers, but it has to do with the old car hobby and the people who are the hobbiests, and I wanted to share our good experience this morning, old car people are truely good people.

Tom is standing next to my Dad in the one photo, Dad and Tom in the front seat as we were going for a ride, then the other one is Dad, Tom and my wife Patty.

Hope you all don't mind me sharing my morning,

Bob

I always enjoy "Real Life" pics, especially when it includes old cars.

I saw and old about early 50s Meteor for sale today, and a 49 Ford, but did not take pics, as I was in a mega hurry, to get my grasss sprayed with Par 3, before it rains again.....

Great photos Bob. Thanks for posting. It looks like your Dad is having a ball.

I'm fortunate that my Dad is still quite well and only in his early 70's. I took him for a drive in my old truck sometime ago. He had a ball then too. Although, he was quick to point out all of the squeaks and rattles to me! I'll have my old truck finished soon and will be taking my parents and family for many more drives.

I wish good health to your father and your family. Good on your mate Tom for helping make the day a memorable event. That's what friendship is all about.
