Joe Flanagan Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Does anyone know where these can be found? I'm looking for the round rubber gasket that goes behind the glass of the dash gauges. Mine melted and basically no longer exist. Quote
TodFitch Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Could you cut one out of thin sheet rubber from the local hardware store? Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted March 29, 2011 Author Report Posted March 29, 2011 That is probably the easiest solution. Would just need to find the right kind of rubber. Quote
Alshere59 Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Can't you find an O ring that would be a perfect fit? Granted probably cost more. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted March 29, 2011 Author Report Posted March 29, 2011 Might, but it would have to be a very large O-ring. I guess it also wouldn't necessarily have to be rubber either, would it? Quote

And please explain the very large thing??????? Quote
Alshere59 Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 :rolleyes:They sell kits cut to cut them to length/diameter/circumference. What ever. This is for the o ring not the other direction this threads going. Besides there encite.. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted March 29, 2011 Author Report Posted March 29, 2011 Does Trojan call their product a "rubber?" Kind of takes all the romance out of things. Quote
buds truck Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 I used the rubber welting that holds in the screen on a house screen door. They come in many sizes and can be cut to the right length. I've used it on two sets of gauges and it works fine. Quote
Young Ed Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Joe to add to Buds post go to a local hardware store like Ace. Gotta be someplace that repairs screens. Ask them if you can see their sizes of spline and find one that fits. Quote
