Plymouthy Adams Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 get the correct sender..it is a dual circuit being pulled in both directions at the same time with ground split by the wiper (float arm) in a linerar manner..this is what makes it so super stable and not reactive to sloshing fuel in the tank..sender resistance is approx 28-32 ohms....taps are on each end of the resistor...the float grounds are the main problem..with age the wiper loses it connection due to metal fatique of the spring bar or corrosion of the inner housing..can be disassembled anc repaired to work if the reisistor element is still intact..must be able to read the 30 ohms across 1 and 2... Gary Manes Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 They have been around for a number of years, and cater to the upscale collectors. They do very little advertising, and it is difficult to find a contact phone or e-mail for them to order parts you may know they make. I bought one for my New Yorker from them at a fairly decent price. They make one for the big tanks (New Yorkers/Saratogas) and the regular tanks for all the other MOPAR models for this time period. They are so snooty that they "rent" parts in case you have something quit just before a big show. There are a couple of other marketers on e-bay, but they do not post very often. I think their prices were in line with Atwater Kent. All appear to be of high quality. Quote
