Robin (UK) Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 I knew about the P15 convertibles featured in 'Sunset Boulevard' and 'They Live By Night', both of which I have on DVD. But I just got these pictures from Ebay - stills from the 1958 JD movie, 'High School Hellcats' (AKA School For Violence). Thought I'd share them with you. I now need to get myself a copy of the movie although it does look like the old Plymouth is subject to some bad treatment.... Quote
John Reddie Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 Hey Robin, This film is available on Amazon.com for cheap money. I have a large collection of vintage films. Thanks for the heads up. I will purchase this DVD. John R Quote
suntennis Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 A few days back on the Phoenix craigslist there was a P15 maybe convertible movie prop for sale. The prop is from the firewall to the rear bumper and has the dash, seats and all. Asking price is around $4,000.00. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 I've seen an ad on that thing. Would be interesting, but what would you actually do with it? Guess that's for the guy who has everything plus lots of space. Quote
busycoupe Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 If it is a good convertable body you could mount it on another frame. Find an old P15 with an intact drive train but a poor body and make the switch. Quote
Young Ed Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 If it is a good convertable body you could mount it on another frame. Find an old P15 with an intact drive train but a poor body and make the switch. I think its fiberglass. You could still mount it on a frame and have some fun though. Quote
LAKOTA169 Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 Did you notice the shadow of the boom mike on the rear fender? Quote
John Reddie Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 I bought this film from Amazon.com. It is only available on VHS. I played the very beginning to see how it came out.The quality is pretty good. I plan to watch it tonight. John R Quote
