Take a look at the general discussion board for the cars. thee has been quite a bit of iscussion lately regarding master cylinders. A quick use of the search button should help you out. The MC is part of the assembly that holds the pivot rods for the clutch and brake pedals, so there is quite a bit incolved in pulling one.

here is a link to get you started.

Also if you haven't looked at the information on the P15 D24 main site that hosts the forum take a look at the information there. just hit the header button that says Return to P15 D24 and have a look around. Your system may show small differences from the earlier models but nothig significant.

You will usually get a better responce posting to the general forum rather that the tech section.

Anyway Welcome

I am in the process of scanning a complete original 1953 service manual right now. If you want I can try to post the pages on pulling the MC.

I am getting ready to either replace or rebuild the MC on my 53 Windsor so I may be able to help out. There are others here though that are for more knowledgeable than me. Take a look at the thread greg_g linked. I think it may help a quite a bit.

After looking at the manual, believe it or not, there is no info about removing the MC? There is info for repairing it but not actually getting it out of the car. So I went and had another look at mine and all I can say is that it looks pretty simple. I would just take a lot of good photos before you start so that you can go back and look at them when you put it all back together.

I don't think you will have to much trouble with it.
