Reg Evans Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 We topped our tree this year with a lighted 20's Dodge Hood ornament. Anyone else having a MoPar trimmed tree? Quote
1940plymouth Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 Reg, My wife tolerates me and the old Plymouth, but I don't think she would agree to that. Good for your wife:) Quote
1940plymouth Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 After I posted my first post, I took this horn button off the shelf, took the Angel off the top of the Christmas tree and put the button on, my wife just smiled, shook her head, but smiled even more when I put the Angel back where she belongs:) Quote
Don Coatney Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 A Little Christmas Story When four of Santa's elves got sick, the trainee elves did not produce toys as fast as the regular ones, and Santa began to feel the Pre-Christmas pressure. Then Mrs. Claus told Santa her Mother was coming to visit, which stressed Santa even more. When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two others had jumped the fence and were out, Heaven knows where. Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked, the toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered. Frustrated, Santa went in the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered the elves had drunk all the cider and hidden the liquor.. In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider jug, and it broke into hundreds of little glass pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found the mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the broom. Just then the doorbell rang, and an irritated Santa marched to the door, yanked it open, and there stood a little angel with a great big Christmas tree. The angel said very cheerfully, 'Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn't this a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?' And so began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree. Not a lot of people know this. Quote
oldodge41 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 "And so began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree." I never knew that, but it makes a lot of sense to me, since I have a lot of those days myself. :D Quote
thrashingcows Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 I like it!! But as 40plymouth stated....don't think the wife would tolerate me doing that. Quote
Young Ed Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Not quite on our tree but close Quote
40plyrod Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 My wife made the mistake of letting me put these on the tree when my girls were little and now they have become a mandatory decoration for the tree (first things on the tree after the lights) Only a couple of mopars though, I'll have to see if I can find some more.
