maverick Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 Im almost ready to re-assemble the three speed transmission for my b-4-b. Except for one problem, the coutershaft looks like its been ridden hard and put away wet. Ive got most of my other parts but it appears that this is about as hard to find as chickens teeth. Ive already tried bernbaums and silkes but the only one they had was pitted. Does anyone know of a good resource to find one of these before I have one made? Also, any information on any cross-reference or the new process part number for the entire trans would be helpful. Thanks. Quote
mikesinky Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 dont know if they would have it or not but vintage power wagons might be able to help Quote

Don G 1947 Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Mav, Just rebuilt my 3 speed and had a counter shaft made by these folks: Northwest Transmission 800-327-1955 I think the cost was $65 for the countershaft. They also had needle bearings and blocker rings. Their thrust washers were not so good (too thick). Don Quote

I believe ill give them a call. What kind of information will they be looking for when i call so i can have it ready? Quote
Don G 1947 Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 All they wanted is the make and model. The number on the case might be helpful it there are several variations for your year. They make them from drill rod and modify as needed. Don Quote
