the timing chaing cover is aligened easily later by leaving the monting bolts loose..then using your own lower pulley/hub assembly you insert it onto the shaft then snug up your cover bolts...this is a required procedure anytime the cover has been removed.

I have a lathe and I made a tool.When I get home in the spring I will gladly post a picture if you want.It is just a cone shaped insert that fits snugly in place of the damper.The big advantage over using the damper is that it is smaller and easier to work around.Jim C
