Normspeed Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 Mackster, I think someone here was looking for a set of these a while back. Hmmm, metal white walls. Could come in handy on the freeway when someone opens fire. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 Those have a pretty big opening in the center. Almost looks like old Ford stuff to me. At any rate, the original white trim rings were plastic. Some metal ones were available but were aftermarket stuff. That price is a little stiff. You see whole sets for between $20 and $50 at the swap meets. Quote
mackster Posted March 13, 2007 Author Report Posted March 13, 2007 I thought it was a little stiff, plus I see they have the hole for the air valve so it must fit over the rim and lock into the outer rim somehow Thanks to both the norms!!! MKSTR! Quote
Reg Evans Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 Mackster, I'm not a member on the HAMB so you might want to tell the guy that is selling them that they are for 15" rims. He's not sure what size they fit. I have a set of these trim rings for 16" rims just like his and they are about 17.5". His measure about 16.5" Quote
morson82 Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 Mackster, I have a set of the metal white walls on my 42 Dodge. If you look at my profile pic, you cant tell the difference. They go on like hubcaps. The few times I drove my 42 before starting the resto I never had a problem with them coming off. Glenn Quote
Reg Evans Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 I ended up buying them from the guy cause he re measured them and they will fit on my 40 Plym. Hows your back doing Glenn ? Better I hope. Quote
morson82 Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Actually, I am going to have to have surgery.....not very happy about it but if it can take this pain away..... Glenn Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Glenn, I had lower back surgery in 1980, after my back was broken when I was hit by a drunk driver, I hope your surgery is as sucessfull as mine is. Dennis:cool: Quote
