For sure needs good welding and bracing.......

There should be some previous threads with pictures over on the H.A.M.B.

website.......if you haven't already checked there. Those fellows have

done a lot of this type thing.

Why??

cost. i would guess it will cost quite a bit to rebuild the OE desoto brakes/suspension, still have a 63 year old deisgn and have a difficult time finding the parts. it cost me $150 for the dakota front clip/steering column probably another $200 to rebuild the entire brake/suspension and i can go to any auto parts store and get the parts i need. i do all my own work so labor cost me nothing.

Well, if you scrap the old DeSoto front clip I could use one or both of the front spindles. People keep asking me to convert them to disc brakes and although I am pretty sure it can't be done with my type caliper brackets I'm thinking about giving it another try. Send me a pm or email me at olddaddy@rustyhope.com. Charlie.
