dndrodshop Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 Anyone got a good reasonable price source for windshields? New or good used. Need one for a 53 Plymouth Coupe. 53-54 Plymouth except Convert and 53-54 Dodge HT & Station Wagon interchange. Just starting to look! Quote
Frank Elder Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 What year did they stop making split windscreens? I'm guessing one piece 50's screens are pretty rare..... Quote
Young Ed Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 Frankie 52 was the last year. Which means his 53 is the first year(for ply) for curved 1 piece windshields. Quote
53_Suburban Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 You might give these guys a try: http://www.classicflatglass.com/ Their ad says they can probably find early curved glass replacements. Quote
jd52cranbrook Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 (edited) I just put in my fronts from http://www.classicflatglass.com/ in my 52. Went in pretty nice, a good fit. But I guess that does not help you with your curved, sorry. Edited August 16, 2010 by jd52cranbrook Quote
PatS.... Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 These guys had 3 windshields in stock for my 56 Nash Rambler, so they are no strangers to odd windshields. Cheap?? That ain't gonna happen I don't think. www.prosourceglassintl.com Quote
P-12 Tommy Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Just for the heck of it I checked the website for windshields for the '41 and it states 16"x26". Mine look like 14"x24". What's up with that? Don't mean to hijack. Tom Quote
dndrodshop Posted August 17, 2010 Author Report Posted August 17, 2010 Didn't necessarily need cheap, just resonable. Quote
Greenbomb Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 You might be able to buy a whole car for less than just a windshield. Some guy parts out a car thinking it's his retirement income and want 3 kinds of prices for it and then the next guy just wants that old car out of his yard. Ya never know..... Quote
