Jim Saraceno Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 Some years ago, a member posted a picture of his flower garden pool. Over the edge of the pool was a Model A. It was set up as a fountain so the water was dripping out of the radiator into the pool. I wish I had that old photo, it looked very cool. Does anyone remember who posted that? Are they still a member? Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 was that by chance Howard Tarnoff? owner of Magoo.. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 I've seen various types and brands of old vehicles used as fountains and yard art around here. Look pretty cool. One guy I know made a booth in his recreation room from a 1956 Buick Roadmaster 4 door. Painted and upholstered in red and white.......looks neat. Turned the front seat around facing rear, then made a table between them. Sitting next to it is a 1913 Model T speedster in A1 condition. He had the Buick at his shop, for sale, for several years, but nobody wanted to buy it......so......... Quote
Olddaddy Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 I can't decide if the old Plymouth is a cool use of an old beater or the sad end of a once noble automobile......It is cool, but kinda sad at the same time. However, the Model A fountain is totally cool!!!! Quote
rockable Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 My wife is not ready to approve the use of these ideas as lawn decoration. She did get a laugh out of the fountain idea, however. Quote
Jim Saraceno Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 Yes Pat! I love that! Is that yours? Quote
PatS.... Posted July 4, 2010 Author Report Posted July 4, 2010 No, Jim...I've had the pic for a while but I can't recall where I got the pic from. I thought it was well done so I saved it. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 I'm pretty sure that truck fountain belonged to someone here on the forum at the time it was posted. May not be a member now. Quote
