I am at the age where the possibility of retirement has arrived. If the world does not entirely go to hell in a handbasket I can maybe retire in about ten more years....I am looking for a Dodge school bus, or maybe a COE cab and clip from around 36-56 model years. I have a Cummins 4bt or 6bt engine to use and a late model chassis to set the body work on. If I can't find a bus the coe cab and clip would serve as the nose and I can build the coachworks. I hope to end up with a reasonably comfy home base from which I can revisit all those wonderful places that formed me in my ancient youth, California, Grand Canyon, Bonneville Salt Flats, Great Lakes, New England and on and on and on for as long as I can remember where I put the keys. Thanks, Charlie

PS, anyone here near Phoenix? There is a 36 Dodge Bus for sale there now that I would need to store for awhile before I can arrange transport for it.

Charlie, if you are going to pull the body off, don't overlook an older motorhome.

I bought this old Champion a while back, good running 440/727 on Dodge truck chassis. Interior was shot and I ripped it out to use as a storage shed.

It was $200.

There are lots of them out there. Might work for you.

Or how about a newer school bus chassis. Pull the body, add your oldtimer body, and it's nice and long to build your home away from home on.

Older and non running school buses go for under $1000 around here.

OR.....if you're not concerned with wind resistance, speed and gas mileage maybe something like this would work for you.

Go to craigspal.com and download the free version of the craigslist search engine. Search the whole country every couple days for "dodge Coe"

I'll bet you find many choices.
