Chrysler town sedan

A month or so ago I posted, does anyone have a picture of the elusive chrysler town sedan....I did not think I would find a 8 clyinder version, doggone it's nice!

Tim, it's about 3 miles longer than the dodge version!!!!

Thats a long hood...! Just looking at the rocker trim is enough to show you the difference and where it was added..do like the speed line trim on the front fender..

People like the suicide doors on the standard moredoor, I like the cleaner look of the town sedan without that extra vent window, and the rear door flowing into the fender instead of being straight.

somewhat rare, the Dodge model production number hover in the 16000's compared to the Dodge suicide model 4 door I have both a 41 and a 47 Dodge TS's and at all the events I have been to over the years..I have never seen on in attendance..there are but a couple on this froum I can think of at the moment..one is in Arizona..would feel pretty sure the big Chryslers are equally as rare overall and a straight eight...even more so than the rest..

Thanks for posting. That is one HUGE, beautiful, and unique car! Certainly a different appearance than the regular models with the separate window behind the door.

Were Chrysler and Dodge the only ones to offer the TS? Any Desotos?

Don't know about desotos, plymouth did start a town sedan line in the 50's..Robert KB did you say long???

41 and 42 were the last years for the custom town sedan at desoto, they even had a fifth avenue model.

Which of course was resurected later and used by chrysler.
