greg g Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 We are having serious and expensive problems settling my wife's mothers estate. It will be 4 years next month. I would have given the laywer who is the executer the sack after a year but she her sibligs decided to keep him. Under his watch there has been a nearly total devaluation of the estate. So I am trying to talk my wife and her brothers and sisters into bringing a legal malpractice suit against him. But there is probably some unwritten code somewhere that keeps one barrister from seeking damages from other members of the bar. If any one has had any experience with anything similar, I would appreciate hearnig from you. Probably PM and then email would be best, but a yea or nay here if GTK will allow would be nice. Its always something. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 I forwarded your question to a lawyer friend of mine in an email. If / when I hear back from him I'll copy his reply in a PM to you. Merle Quote
Frank Elder Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 I don't think it really matters, one target is as good as another to a lawyer..... Quote
PatS.... Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 Lawyers usually have no qualms eating their own species. Your lawyer won't stop billing until there is no money left. Been there done that. Quote
