I looked on ebay and the net in general, and could not find any interior

pictures. You might try looking up items on ebay sold in the past - I'm

not sure how you do it, but it can be done. I like to use ebay ads as

learning and informational tools since a person will often include quite a

few pictures when selling a really nice car.

Is there a Plymouth club in your area?

You might also correspond with Jim Benjaminson who is occasionally on

this forum. He likes to record pics and info on P15 convertibles, but

might have info on the older model.

The convertible interior was usually different than any other models

often using leather or a leather/cloth combination.

I second Bob's motion. Jim B has two 1940 Plymouths of his own. He may just have some photos that you are looking for.

One thing I can tell you is that the dash of the convertible '40 Plymouths were painted the same color as the body.

anyone have pics of this cars interios i know someone trying to build a correct interior, i figured you guys might have some good pictures.

Mike:

The interior on the convertable would have leather for the seats and door panels because of the possibility of water and also because it is a convertable top.

The sedans had cloth but i do know that according to my 39 Desoto parts book a 39 Desoto could have been ordered with leather interior. So as long as someone is installing an interior that is period correct and I also suggest that you always get a parts book for your specific car because this will provide you with a greatdeal of Info then you can not go wrong.

If you installed leather in a sedan and an AACA jusge questions this and you have the parts manula for your car and you should have this at any AACA jusged event then you can prove to them that this was an option they then can not deduct points for the leather. They can deduct points for workmanship and fit only.

I hope this helps with your quest for more car knowledge.

Michael, why would he want to sell it? In your first post you indicated he wanted to put together a correct interior. If he is serious, ebay is likely a better place to sell.

A lot depends on condition and a picture would be nice. They are probably rarer than ones for the P15 but I doubt they are worth huge dollars.

I'm surprised that you haven't been invited to see it up close and personal since you are practically neighbours.
