BobT-47P15
I've seen this one (which is like the one on my car), and also one with gold in it. Don't know just what the gold one came from.
Young Ed
I believe the gold is faded red.
David Maxwell
combo. The black is a dark blue that appears black over time. If you look closely, you will notice a difference in the lettering too. Not sure if this pertained to a particular run or just two different suppliers for the part, but either is correct for a P15. BobT-47P15
I guess it would make sense that either is for a Special Deluxe....since the Deluxe horn center is totally different. Another Mopar mystery.

David Maxwell
...the paint flaked off at some point... as they are known to do...and someone just sprayed gold to match what they saw remaining. I'm willing to bet that at some time it had the blue at the water level as it should. I have restored around ten of these where the paint wore off. its gold whats this from austalia? David Maxwell
...I media blast the backside, gently removing all paint. I then use 1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper followed by rubbing compound and then plastic polish to restore the finish. Finally, I use a brush to repaint the colors. This has to be done very carefully as the paint, if too thin, likes to wik quickly into all the crevices, getting into places it doesn't belong. how would you repair the hhorn button? michael.warshaw
why is this one gold, is itfrom australia?
Frank M.
This came up years ago in the POC,and the red and gold are both excepted. I guess that in 3 years of manufacture at 4 different places there were a lot of little differences. Frank M.

Frank Elder
Hey Mike, did you notice that the"wave" under the ship is a different shape, maybe 1 is an export, or a different year.
michael.warshaw
yes i noticed and the funny part is that i have one that came wiith my car that is like the gold on only 2 waves, but red, and blue very strange, actually now that i think of it, it could have been gold also cecause mine has totally silvered out, make me think what color it was. Frank Elder
Different years, different designs, are you fixed on Aussie designs? More money or more rare?
