Here is a link to all of the pictures that I have taken of my Plymouth starting with the reference shots when I first got it, some maintenance pics from when I was getting the car running and ending with some nice shots of of the car out and about.

Lots of work left to do but this is it so far.

Wow Rebecca, you've got pictures of places on that car that I didn't even know were places!

Very nice.

I use my camera to document things so that I can refer to them later. Unfortunately I did not have my camera on some of the days and I forgot to take some pictures. It is useful to refer to them.

Great pictures, your car reminds me of a 37 Plymouth my Dad had when I was 7 or 8 years old. He would let me set on his lap and steer when I got that part down OK he would push in the clutch and let me change gears. I was his auto pilot all he had to do was the gas and brake pedal.

Very nice job. Did you give any cosideration to using the earlier ie intake for a more period look? Or did it have the smaller carburettor??? That little coupe must go down the road pretty well with the larger engine.

And I can't for the life of me figure out why people go nuts over the buggy sprug 36 ford and would pass up a car like yours.

The little lift deal the MGA is sitting on, doe it get much use? It is a practicle thing to have?

I did want to upgrade the intake/carb for a bigger carburetor for the 230. My 1936 manifold has the stud spacing for the smaller original carburetor.

I may infact, look for some vintage speed parts and go dual intake and exhaust. However, initially I was more interested in getting it running well (still my priority).

My philosophy with this car is not to ruin the stock look of the car but to permit myself to have a little fun with the engine/drive train as long as I keep it vintage looking. This is why I painted the engine black and dressed it up a bit. I did not want someone to think that I was trying to do a correct restoration (no there is no doubt). ;)

I am building a modifed air cleaner for it too (no billet). I should have that ready in the spring.

I agree about this car vs a Ford. Also, if it was a Ford it would have cost twice as much. Shhhhhhh don't tell anyone or the will drive the price up.

Perhaps you should try a 2bbl to 1 adapter and a small 2brl like a BBd or holley 2280. It was an option in 56 Added about 8 hp.

Where are you guys in Mass, east or west.

I am in Eastern Mass.

I am interested in any idea. However, I do like what Moose's Tattersfield vintage speed intake:

They are very tasty, butalso like hen's teeth. I have seen only 1 in person on a car and none at swap meets. there is a fenton or edmunds on the bay currently last i looked it was at 250 but that was yesterday with 5 days to go.

if you search, check for tattersfield and ellis also. You can get OFFY from summit racing.

Tattersfield for chevy, I think, but mopar similar.

check your PM
