We've had a lot of rain over the last few days here in the DC area. Tonight I rebuilt my fuel pump, took the old throw out bearing off the sleeve, and installed the new one. All nice little indoor projects. But for the first time in a long time, my wife asked me if I would move some of the car stuff out of the house. She just wants it off the kitchen counters and off the dining room table and such. I guess I can't blame her.

I hope I got the fuel pump right. There was stuff in the kit that was not in my pump when I took it apart. There was also stuff in the kit that didn't seem to have a counterpart in the diagram in the manual. Plus the diagram was hard to read, even an original version. The small parts aren't shown very clearly so you don't really know what they're supposed to look like. Did the best I could, followed directions, and tried to use common sense.

Also, I got a call from Tennessee Clutch and Supply and they put my reconditioned clutch disc and pressure plate in the mail today. I only sent it out to them Monday. Plus it wound up being twenty dollars cheaper than he originally quoted. Sixty bucks. I used the flat rate USPS box to send it to him, which was about ten bucks. Thanks, Don C., for that reference.

More rain tomorrow. Let me see . . . . Woodgraining?

This time of year, we are lucky...no rain at all for sure!!!:P

We do, however, get snow. None yet but could be a blizzard any minute.

Oh, ya...we get 30-40 below as well.

Enjoy the rain!!!!:D

If they're going to bead blast it and shine it up like that, I won't want to put it on the engine. I was really happy with them. They're easy to deal with.

Doc, where are you again that it never rains? I might like to try that out for a few years. I guess rust isn't much of a problem. Pete Blueskies sent me a floor access panel from Idaho that he said had been sitting around in his garage for a long time. When I got it, I don't think it had a speck of rust on it. After being in my garage for a week or so, it had plenty. And it hadn't even been raining.

I'm about 10 miles south of los angeles, todays weather. 75-80 degress, 15-20% humidity...its beginning to look a lot like chris.....well ok I guess it isnt!:D

I really wish our colder weather would get here already, this perpetual summer thing gets old after awhile:D

I would say that kind of talk really bothers me, but we have members in places like Finland and Canada, and it probably really burns them, so I'll just keep quiet. I'd like the winter a whole lot more if I had a woodstove but I don't. Anyway, this morning it was foggy and rainy but I managed to install the fuel pump, the oil filter bracket, generator bracket, and the brackets that go from the rear of the block to the bell housing. Also cleaned and painted the oil filter canister, ignition coil mount, and air filter stay. When the bolts for my flywheel get here, I'll really be rolling.
