Goes to show you what I don't know about Dodges!

(edit) Frankie, are you sure that's stainless? I saw this pic posted by Boxer_inv of a D24 down under. Would stainless get like that?

I also am confused. Did all D-24's have stainless grills? Or did some have pot metal grills?

Whether that grille is stainless or chromed pot metal, it is a steal at that price. Somebody on this forum with a D24 should be jumping all over that. I have seen grilles like that go for over a thousand. If chromed, it would cost you more than that to replate it. If stainless, it would just need a good buff. If I found one in that condition, at that price, for my Canadian D25 I would buy it in a heart beat no matter what the shipping. You snooze, you lose.

I have had 3 d24s in the last 8 years, all had stainless grilles, like Robert suggested on Boxer's thread the exported d24s with right hand drive were probably equipped with cast grilles, Canada style ala d25.

Looking at the back of the grille, it may be stainless. I am just saying that whatever it is, it's a steal. FRANKIE47, with the D24 you have, you should be all over that like a teenage boy with a willing girlfriend!:P

Hi there fellow moparists!

I just recently picked up a D-25 "GRILL" along with,2 rear quarter windows

and garnishes,

3 park light bezels and lenses,

6 plymouth hub caps,

2 front brake backing plates and drums,

1 complete running 218,

1 three speed g/box,newish clutch and bell housing and linkages,

1 tail shaft,

1 complete diff,drum to drum,

1 brand new chrome windscreen divider

and a box of light switches and smaller sundry items,

If that grill is worth its weight in gold and it is damn heavy!

Then i think i got a bargin at $300.00 AU for the whole shootin match!

Am i a happy Moparman?

Watch out for police behind you because you stole that. The park light bezels and lenses are worth that alone. Even in Canada, where most D25's were made, this stuff is getting very scarce.

I live in the center of the state and its still 200 miles from me and I am 600 miles east of the state line on the New Mexico side of the state.

James, 200 miles is just a nice little trip in Texas where everything is bigger.:P

Yes, I know, people in the computer industry use to commute dailey between Austin and Cypress on the north edge of Houston. HP bought one branch of TI and Compact which was started by some TI engineers after TI had their on operating system and microsoft came out and they ran on doss. Only about 2 hours 30 minute drive from the Cypress area to Austin.
