Would love to see pics of your guy's P15's, if you could please post some pics!

I'll start off with the '42 Plymouth Coupe I'm working on.. hope to have it back on the road by mid summer. I need to take some newer pics, these are from last summer, looks the same right now just has some mechanical work done (mainly brakes) and it's cleaned up a bit:

That picture was taken in WI. Nice try Don. Change will be hopefully painting more of it black and reinstalling the brightwork

Indeed there are a number of P15 and D24 pictures in that first gallery.

Some tell who owns the car.....some don't.

Of the several I clicked on, I did not recognize a single name.

So, they either were early forum participants, or just someone who was

passing thru and put their car pic there.

Here's my 47. We have green trees and grass here in MO.

I moved back in September. They eliminated my position so I had to look for a new job back in August. If they don't close my old plant completely, it is likely that second shift operations will cease all together by Christmas of this year once the co-packing agreement ends with the Mexican company that bought the Longmont Foods brand.

I don't know how you guys post those big pictures. It's all I can do to get the thumbnail shots.

Anyway - after over 18 months I finally got the car home - of course I can't get it to run but no point in rushing into things. This week I'm going to check out the fuel lines and gas tank. Once it's up and running then I will take some real pictures.

Now the real hard part is finding all the little things - little stainless pieces, wheels, interior light. Another thing - the guy that did the interior didn't cut a hole for the master cylinder. I guess that's why they call it a project.

Actually, Norm, I did recognize your car and engine in those pics....but as I recall, it

did not list you as the owner.

I tried to post a picture, but couldn't figure out how to make it work.

Don.......about getting to the master cylinder thru the hole in the floor

board. My upholstry man thoughtfully made this flap arrangement which

will fold back to allow access to that hole.

Maybe your guy could cut your carpet and bind it......in the same

manner.

Now, back to the picture thread................

I had decided last year when I had my car apart to cut out the area for the master cylinder. Of course I never did it. I forgot about it with all the rest to do. I have a floor mat on both sides and it would cover it.

In sticking with the thread here's some pics of my P-15. I'm hoping to get it back together from the compressor mishap later this month. The parts are painted and ready to sand, buff, and reassemble. I've just got to find the time and ambition to do it. :)

I'm curious about the aerials above the headlights. Do they serve as turn-signals? Requirement for registering in Germany/EU? I don't recall ever seeing a car here in the States so equipped.

Here's a pic of my P15 at our first ever car show last Saturday. It was sponsored by the local "Early Ford Club", so as you can see, I am all by myself there in the parking area. The Ford guys were very complimentary, however, and two of them commented on how much better our metal is than theirs or Cheby's. One guy said Plymouths were the preferred taxicab in Houston, because they were so durable in the 40's. Said an old cab driver told him a Ford or Chevy wouldn't last 4 months in hard service, but a Plymouth would go for 400,000 miles!
