MT47Plymouth Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Howdy all. I am new to this forum and in fact any forum at all. About as year ago I bought a 1947 Plymouth Special Deluxe coupe and I have been puttering around town and slowly working on it when time and money align. It is a runner but old and I am currently starting the restoration diassembly. I intend on building a cruiser with a mild 318 and automatic. Just looking for some like minded folks and this seemed to be the place. Anybody looking to buy a nice running flathead and 3 speed? Quote
greg g Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Welcome!! Esed to have some neighbors who hailed from Bozeman. Was back in 1970 when I worked at Penn State University. Fellow was getting his PHD in agronomy. He was finishing up and getting ready to head back after he got his degree. His parents and his father's brothers did some wheat growing on a "few" acres north west of town. Good luck with your project. You can always get a lot of answers to you questions here, some of them will actually be correct.... If you are keeping you stock steering box, you will need to offset your 318 to the pass side to get the exhausts to clear the box. Or you might want to look for some of the drivers side manifold tha go up as they exit the head. Quote
