slicknapier Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 I've been asking questions lately and I couldn't remember if I posted any pics of my new ride. Anyway, I traded my 60 Bug for this 51 Pymouth Business Coupe. As of now I think the other guy got the better deal, but I'll get the old girl squared away. Just trying to get it safe and reliable. There were 4 broken leaf springs on the drivers rear, so the springs are at the shop getting rebuilt now. I also ordered new tie rods, wheel cylinders, and had the generator rebuilt. Hopefully it will be on the road shortly. I plan on lowering it a little and just cruising it. I need to educate myself on the straight six as it is my first. I've been trolling the tech section and have already learned alot! thanks, andrew. Here are a few pics along with her stable mate! Quote
steveplym Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Nice looking car Andrew. Welcome to the forum. Keep hanging around here and you'll learn a lot. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Lots of potential there, Andrew. Looking at the two shades of paint on the car, it just occurred to me that by using light grey and a darker grey, a person could have a two tone car in primer. Welcome. Jump right in. Quote
Brendan D25 Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Looks like you got a solid car there Andrew, then again you are in Arizona. Was your 60 VW in good shape? Besides the 48 Dodge I have a 73 Bug. Brendan. Quote
slicknapier Posted April 6, 2009 Author Report Posted April 6, 2009 at first glance the car looks pretty solid, but there is a lot of rust in the rockers, floorboards, and a few of the braces...No biggee, I will repair them at some time or another. Quote
