Rodney Bullock Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 This week end has been filled with dounuts and cars. I got up thid morning and had to take a ride. I ended up at the cruz spot in Burtonsville. There were alot of cars on hand. The absence of Plymouths is very disturbing. I will have to take the 1940 up there next week end. I took the Stude this time and it's always a hit, would you believe there were 3 studebakers ther today. You folks from up in Hagerstown should meet me there next week:) Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 Your car looks great, Rodney. Glad you can now get it out and cruise it. Yeah....you go to shows and cruise-ins and seldom see the old 40s and 50s Chrysler products. But the darn P15 parts continually sell on ebay, and often for fairly hefty prices (at least in my opinion). So---where are all these old Mopars they must be fixing???? Quote
steveplym Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 I agree with you Bob and Rodney, not enough old mopars at the shows. I see one every once in a while, but the mopars that seem to always show up are the '60's and 70's models. I did go to a local swap meet this morning and in the car corral there was a 1948 Plymouth deluxe business coupe. Looked like a pretty nice car. Black and the for sale sign said it had 30k original miles. It ran good and the interior looked decent, paint wasn't that great. He was asking $6900 for it which I thought was a bit steep, but if he could prove it had an original 30,000 miles on it, it may be worth it. Of course I forgot to take my camera with me today. Hopefully I'll see the car in the future and get to speak with the owner. He had a local phone number so if he doesn't sell it by the time the shows all start up I may be able to meet him and invite him to this forum. Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 We went to the High Desert Car Club Council Fun Day yesterday in Boron, Ca. There were only 2 Plymouths there, mine and this 33. The Fun Day is a BBQ Lunch with Good Food, Good Friends, and Fun & Games. We use the money we raise to pay for the 2 Million Dollar car show insurance that covers all of the clubs in the council. (14 Clubs at this time) Today were having 30-50 MPH winds with rain and/or blowing sand. Dennis:cool: Here are some of the cars that were there. Quote
