David Maxwell Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 ...so check this out, but I have no idea if it will work or cause damage in your situation. http://www.myradiostore.com/p/12-volt-dc-power-splitter.html Quote
mackster Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 it will work. No reason why there would be damage. the only thing they are doing is splitting the 12v they already have into two 12v outputs. very do-able.... Quote
steveplym Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 I've got one of those. I used to use it in my daily driver to power my radar detector and xm radio. Radar detector quit working so now it just powers my xm radio. It works great. Quote
greg g Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 We just had two of those working in the two outlets in the rental moving truck. Had the navigator, cell phone plugged into one, and a laptop and Sirrius plugged into the other one. The laptop was plugged into an inverter in one to run on 110, and one splitter powered the radio and onother splitter which powered the cell and the navi. The tangle of wires was reminiscent of Medusa's head. It took my daughter 3 minutes to untangle herself at a rest stop. Good thing we didn't need to make coffee......... Quote
