Arthur1947 Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 I'm wondering how much a megnafluxed Spitfire head with a grind would go for? I know this one is a heavy shipper. Best. ARTHUR Quote
Allan Faust Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Is there a difference between the spitfire head and a regular one? I know I have the long block in my Dodge.... (canadian... 25" motor) Allan Quote
Don Coatney Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Is there a difference between the spitfire head and a regular one? Allan Allan; The only difference is the "Spitfire" logo. This head has been milled but the poster did not say how much. Quote
Reg Evans Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 I sold 3 of these last year to one man from Chico,Ca. for $75 ea. in rusty original condition. If I'd had more he would have bought them too. You would have to spend at least that much again to have one boiled out, blasted, magnafluxed and milled. Why do you ask? Quote
greg g Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Here is something for all you thermoplastic casting guys out there. Find a decent Spit Fire head and make a mold of the logo and the lightning bolts. Cast them in a resin which would hold up to the heat of the head and sell them as a kit with some epoxy. Then everybody could have a Spitfire head, course it might drive the cost of the real ones down, but on the other hand think about how the judges at the Plymouth club meets would be scratching their heads wondering how somebody got a 25 inch head on their P or D series engine block......... Also I'm putting some air cleaners and some other Plymouth parts up on the bay. I didn't forget about your air cleaners Reg. Hopefully I can get to them soon. Things have been busy around the holidays and money has been tight. Best. ARTHUR Quote
